John is a sought after motivational speaker who helps people who are struggling with their grief. John is the former Chief of the Barrington Police Department for the last 17 years. John also formally served 23 years on the Rhode Island State Police when he started his law enforcement career in June of 1979. Loss and grief is a subject very close to John’s heart after he lost his older brother in 1979 to suicide. His brother’s death launched him on his spiritual journey. Later in life, John would lose his cousin to, a state trooper classmate to cancer and two of his childhood best friends.
John’s quest to find out the truth, “are they alive in Spirit, can I communicate with them?” began John’s exploration into the world of psychics and mediums. As a law enforcement officer for over 39 years, John needed strong validation and proof that his brother and friends were alive in Spirit and were okay. John’s presentation “Turning Grief into Belief” brings the audience from tears to cheers and much laughter as he explains his Spiritual Journey to overcome his grief and not only HIS fears but the fears of his loved ones who held him back from his life’s passion; HELPING YOU. John will gently teach the audience about grief and how to take ownership of their own grief process.
Presently the Chief of the Barrington Police Department for the last 16 years and formally served 23 years on the Rhode Island State Police, John has seen dozens of sad tragedies involving suicides, car crashes, and the passing of our dear loved ones from an illness or simply old age. John has taken many Greif courses at Bristol Community College and will help you understand the stages of Grief and how men grief differently from women.
John will provide you with a powerful and moving 15 minute Spiritually Guided Meditation called The Visit, which will connect you to your loved one(s) who have passed over. Other breathing meditations are available to reduce stress and foster positive self-esteem and confidence.
John will have participants enjoy a Mindfulness Meditation, based on the Jon Kabat-Zinn teachings, for induced relaxation that focuses awareness on their breathing and encourages positive attitudes to achieve a healthy, balanced mental state. The 1 hour Mindfulness Meditation will reduce reactions to stress by inducing the relaxation response, lowering the heart rate, reducing anxiety, and encouraging positive thought patterns and attitudes. The fee is $80 per hour with 1 to 20 participants.
